Exploring Innovations in Automotive Surface Engineering and Corrosion Protection

On June 15th, the Eureka TechIN Team was invited to represent Cirrus Material Science, a New Zealand-based coating tech company, at the 2023 China (Guangzhou) Automotive Surface Engineering and Corrosion Protection Technology Seminar.

This in-house seminar provided a unique platform for automotive manufacturers, researchers, engineers, scholars, and professionals to delve into the field of automotive surface engineering and corrosion protection. Cirrus Material Science, standing out as the sole foreign enterprise, proudly participated in this enlightening event.

Cirrus Material Science was founded in 2016 and headquartered in New Zealand, the company's technology stems from the groundbreaking achievements of the materials science research team at the University of Auckland. Fast forward to today, Cirrus has established itself as a global leader in surface coating technology solutions. Their patented technologies have been adopted by major enterprises and institutions across Europe, America, and Asia.

In 2022, Eureka TechIN recognized the immense potential of Cirrus' technological prowess and market prospects, leading to a significant investment in the company. This partnership has not only facilitated Cirrus' technological applications in China and Southeast Asia regions but also fostered collaborations with industry partners.

At the seminar, we introduced Cirrus' seven proprietary technology platforms. Among these, the spotlight shone on the revolutionary CIRRUS PAINT-FREE COLOUR™ technology. It leverages a combination of anodisation and electro-deposition to create a nano-pore structure that interferes with the wavelengths of light. The result is a uniform colored surface that is exceptionally scratch and corrosion resistant – providing a paint-free solution to manufacturing. Also, the process is paint-free, quick, and environmentally friendly.

We've established connections with several automotive companies and metal surface treatment vendors following the seminar. Anticipation is high for the exciting collaborations that lie ahead.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our journey of technological exploration and innovation. Together, we're shaping the future of surface coating engineering and corrosion protection.
