On Jun.23, 2019 (The Second) Eureka International Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition was successfully held at Deakin Edge, Federation Square, Melbourne.
Eureka International Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (Eureka IIEC) is a major innovation event produced in collaboration with the leading innovation organizations and service providers crossing Australia and China.
Mr. Weixing Zhang, the director of Torch Centre of Ministry of Science and Technology of China, especially came to Melbourne to attend the 2019 Eureka IIEC as the special guest. Also, Mr.Zhou Long, the Consulate General of The People's Republic of China in Melbourne; Mr.Jason Fitts, Manager – Asia International Coordination Office, Global Victoria, Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions ,were present.
19 projects pitched to a large audience and judging panel. These projects are focus on four areas: Healthcare; Advanced Manufacturing; IT & Digital Tech; Food & Agriculture.
Eventually, Mr. Chuan-Dong Wen's project "ChestPhan4D - An Australian Invention for better fighting cancers " won the first prize. In addition, Dr. Helmut Thissen's project "Next Generation Antimicrobial Coatings'', Dr. José Luis García Giménez's project " EpiDisease: ScoliPro® - Novel prognostic tool for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis" , Prof. Grant Morahan's project " Advanced Genetic Tests Deliver Precisions Medicine", Mr. Dale Schilling's project " Blockchain-based parametric weather insurance for farmers", Mr. Adam Wang's project " Luca by The Block Ledger: Blockchain-based accounting and auditing system" won the second prize.
So far, 2019 (The Second) Eureka International Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition successfully ended.
