Our favorite annual pitch competition has returned! This year, we will still hold the competition online, wherever you are, you could showcase your business in front of potential customers, business partners or investors and shape your business ideas with our professional judges, also you will have the chance to win up to $20000  AUD cash prize! Easily get connected to the network in Australia and abroad, through Eureka global operations.

Through the IIEC of last year, the winning projects, like “Intestinal microcirculation fingerprint evaluation platform for healthcare” and “Unbleached paper green manufacturing using corn straw” successfully obtained funds and formed their Joint Venture to further develop their business.

We all know emerging markets provide greater potential, Eureka IIEC partners with China-Jinan International High-Level Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition to offer our participants more opportunities for business growth in the emerging markets. The shortlisted teams of Eureka IIEC 2021 will be invited to enter the Jinan international competition with teams from USA, Europe and Asia to compete for additional prize (up to $10,000) and gain access to business networks, partnerships and funding support. The winner of the competition will be able to access designated government funds (up to $1 million, conditions apply) and business facilitation services.

She is also the co-owner of an international family business.

Dr. Shen has been working on multifunctional/smart nanocomposites and surface designs for a broad range of industrial applications, such as, cure on demand sealant, fire performance cable, and heavy metal ions sensing and multi-functional nanocomposites materials and devices, with 140 journal papers.

of Alfred Hospital and Monash University

Dr. Ou heads the AMREP laboratory providing scientific support to the heart transplantation program, and he has been actively promoting collaborative research and fostering the commercialisation of biomedical innovations. The outcomes of his commitments are reflected by forging many collaborative research programs and joint centers between Australia and Asia.

Associate Head of School for Industry Research; Associate Professor of Software Engineering and loT at Deakin University; Director of Deakin LaunchPad for industry research and innovation


Dr. Abdelrazek has 20+ years of experience in the software industry. He has experience in building startups and managing large teams with a mix of engineers, architects, and project managers. During his time at Deakin University, he raised more than $10M and engaged with many industry partners from different industries in Australia and overseas.

Dr
Xie leads a research team at CSIRO Manufacturing with extensive research experience and expertise in membrane technologies and catalysis for energy and environment. She has over 110 journal publications, 5 patents, 4 invited booked chapters and over 30 confidential technical report to industries with a h-index of 33 and lifetime citation of >4300. Dr Xie is also an elected Director of Membrane Society of Australasia (MSA), a board member of Monash Centre for Membrane Innovation. She also serves as an associate editor of Separation Science and Technology, an invited editorial board member of Membranes Journal and an adjunct professor in Victoria University, Australia.

Dr. Mona Chung

Asia and China Director
of BlueMount Capital

Dr. Chung is a bi-cultural business expert in doing business with China, particularly with cross-cultural negotiations and communication. She addresses the major issues and overcomes the cultural gap between Westerners and Chinese in the fields of commerce and education. She has extensive experience in Western-China business relationships. She is also the author of an extensive list of over 80 publications in cross-cultural business studies and has authored and published 4 books on “Doing Business with China”.

Ms. Michelle Xu

Ms. Xu is a food scientist turned entrepreneur. She worked in CSIRO for more than 10 years investigating protein and lipids structures and functionalities for the benefits for human health using advanced technologies, such as synchrotron and neutron scattering. She has been working as business development manager and advisor for agricultural technology commercialisations.

Dr. Hugh Ouyang

Data scientist of  CompareTheMarket

Dr. Ouyang worked as a research fellow at the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney from 2011 to 2015. He was an Assistant Professor of Automation and Robotics at Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan.  His research interest includes System and Control, Robotics and Signal Processing. From 2016, he started to work for websites as  data scientist. He has  strong interest in Machine Learning and Data Mining.
